When working on a post or a text block, use bullets to format different levels of subheadings.
When inserting a text block into a post, the text block should have a soft-return following its parent-heading.
When translating Chinese content, all Bible references should not be translated.
All Bible references should be based on ESV verse numbering. In the case of LXX, specify that it is from LXX (e.g. “Gen 1:1 LXX”).
Follow TJC style guide for Bible book names unless copying from a verse list exported from Logos.
Bible references within a group of references may be ordered by importance when necessary.
Entries should by default be ordered according to the order of the English Bible books, but
The editor may decide to order certain entries by importance
Headings without any Bible references may be ordered alphabetically if they are not ordered by importance
For listing of instances
Place Bible references at the beginning of the line followed by a “space dash space”
Quote exactly from ESV whenever feasible
All topical studies need to belong to the category “Topical Outlines”.
Format footnotes by using shortcode
[footnote text=”This is an example footnote content.”]
In the case of a quotation mark inside the footnote, replace the opening quote with " and replace the closing quote with "
Use MLA style
Try to use references that are neutral, such as syntax or etymology
For citations, follow this general format:
Author. Title. Title of container (self contained if book), Other contributors (translators or editors), Version (edition), Number (vol. and/or no.), Publisher, Publication Date, Location (pages, paragraphs URL or DOI). 2nd container’s title, Other contributors, Version, Number, Publisher, Publication date, Location, Date of Access (if applicable). (see https://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/747/06/)
For explanatory notes, follow this general format:
Explanation. “quoted content.” (citation). Explanation.
Example:
“לְיִרְאָתֶֽךָ” has an infinitive construct. “With an inf. (Ges 114, 2), ל denotes most commonly the end or purpose of an action” (W. Gesenius. “לְ”, definition 7.a. Enhanced Brown-Driver-Briggs Hebrew and English Lexicon, Brown, F., Driver, S. R., & Briggs, C. A, Oxford: Clarendon Press, 1977). Therefore, several translations render as “that You may be feared.
For notes with quoted content, follow this format:
“quoted content.” citation.
Use the following short code to add hyperlinks to a verse
<word id=”H127″ type=”lexicon”>Meaning of אֲדָמָה</word>
<word id=”H127″ type=”syntax”>Syntax relationships of אֲדָמָה</word>
Lexeme
<lexeme id=”ἐκκλησιάζω” bv=”KJV” filterby=”Gen”>ἐκκλησιάζω</lexeme> (May omit “bv” if no second Bible version is needed)
