Adult Fellowship<\/b><\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We thanked the Lord Jesus that the Central Region Adult Fellowship was held successfully on 19th June 2022 at the new premise of the Subang Jaya church. A total of 293 members participated in the event, including 267 members above the age of 35 from the 11 churches in the Central Region and 26 helpers from the Subang Jaya church.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The theme of the event was &#8220;I am still strong&#8221;. The purpose of the event was to enhance communication with one another, strengthen bonds through fellowship, and to encourage as well as to provide opportunities for everyone to participate in hymnal worship and witnessing sessions. Through the discussion sessions, we were able to discuss and share about the activities of the Adult Fellowship groups in the respective churches and this also served as a guide for the other churches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The program consisted of three sections: Spiritual nurture, Fellowship, and Discussion. The program commenced with a prayer and sermon by Pr. Joel Chong. The Adult Choir groups of Klang Church, Kajang Church and Petaling Jaya Church presented two hymns each, while the Subang Church and the Botanic Church shared their original (self-composed) hymns. We had a witnessing session by Pr. Joseph Chong and Dn. Luke Chong.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">For the Discussion, all the participants were divided into three groups. The discussion topics were based on the three aspects of the Adult Fellowship, namely &#8220;Spiritual Worship Activities&#8221; (led by Bro. Oi Choong and Dn. Aaron Tan), &#8220;Social Leisure activities&#8221; (led by Dn. Luke Chong and Dn. Thomas Tee), and &#8220;Family abd Caring activities&#8221; (led my Dn. Silas Chuah and Sis Lois). Dn. Silas Chuah, the minister in-charge of the Central Region Pastoral Unit thanked and encouraged everyone in his closing remarks and led the concluding prayer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The event which was organized by the Central Region Pastoral Unit was well coordinated by Dn. Philip, the Chairman of Subang Jaya church as well as the working team. Everything was well coordinated in terms of parking, seating arrangements, and meal seating arrangements. Also, the persons in-charge of the Adult Fellowship from the various churches had put in a lot of effort to promote and prepare for this Fellowship event. May the Lord remember everyone\u2019s hard work. I would also like to thank everyone for their participation and support. I hope that everyone\u2019s heart is stirred up again through this event and that we continue to serve the Lord diligently in our respective churches and to support each other on our journey of faith. The purpose of this fellowship was to strengthen the spiritual bond between brothers and sisters as well as to have a better understanding towards one another.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">All members of different age groups participated in an interesting activity coordinated by youth from 5.30pm to 6.30pm in the evening. Brethren were required to divide themselves into four groups and build a stable and high tower by using spaghetti, cellophane tape and thread. This activity actually provided the opportunity for brothers and sisters to communicate and collaborate with one another in order to complete the task smoothly. After an hour or so, four towers were constructed and displayed on the tables. However, no group was announced as the winner because every tower has its own uniqueness.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Light refreshments were served from 6.30 to 7.30 pm. All the members enjoyed the prepared scrumptious food such as burnt cheesecake, glutinous rice, chee cheong fun, curry chicken, fried mee hoon, homemade mooncakes, red bean soup and pudding while chatting happily. This indirectly created a joyful atmosphere and this close-bonding among brethren in church is something we would never experience in the secular world.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Behold, how good and how pleasant it is, for brethren to dwell together in unity! A total of five truth seekers attended the service. The speaker was Pr. Amos Chow. In between the short sermon and the choir presentation, Sis Lim Chai Jun gave a testimony on how her family came to believe in the True Jesus Church. Three hymns were presented by the Port Dickson youths.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After the service, all the guests were invited to a light refreshment. Bro. Kong&#8217;s family were originally members of Methodist Church for three generations. Thank God, the salvation came upon the family through the will of God. Before this, he was inflicted with a strange disease, and he could not speak and eat for 3 days, and his life was in danger than. Many non-believers personally witnessed that the disease may have no cure.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dn. Kong and his family prayed in one accord in the name of the Lord Jesus. God listened to their prayer, the Holy Spirit filled them. After the prayer, Dn. Kong could speak immediately, and his illness was cured Thank God, the non-believers who witnessed this miracles with their own eyes were amazed. All the glory be unto God.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">After some time, a prayer house was established at the house of Dn. Kong. There were approximately 70 believers attending every Sabbath service. The Holy Spirit worked mightily and miracles were manifested, the demon-possessed were released from their bondage and received peace. Even a dead child was raised from death and many of the sick were healed and received peace through prayer.<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 1946, the Holy name of the Lord began to spread in Perak. During the British empire the prayer house was moved to Sg. Durian until 1986. Thank for the Lord&#8217;s guidance, one piece of land was found later at Chenderong, a nearby area of Batu Gajah. The church was later dedicated to the Lord. During the period of time, many believers moved to other places. I am Brother Ong Teck Lai from Melaka Church.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_mgym886 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>As a child, I was born and raised in a Buddhist family. We believed the gods we pray give us peace and protection. Besides that, I habitually place betting in lotteries and 4D hoping to gain some additional money.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_1gcj787 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>After leaving school, I started working. During that time, I met my other half and she is a sister from True Jesus Church. Not long after, we got married and were blessed with three loving sons.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_l859594 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>My wife would bring our sons to attend church service on Sabbath days. Occasionally when I was not working, I would fetch my family to church. As my wife was not good at driving, I would usually drive and drop them off to church. But I did not attend the church services. Even though my wife persuaded me numerous times to join her for church service, I did not join them and gave many excuses. However, whenever there were special occasions like spiritual convocations and evangelistic meetings, I made an effort to attend. Even so, I couldn\u2019t really focus during the service. In fact, I hoped that the service would end quickly. During that time, I was not motivated to seek and believe in God.<\/p>\n<p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_fudn287 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>As the years went by, I got older in age and most of my good friends had already passed away including my immediate siblings. Therefore, I started to ponder and examine myself. Life cannot be full of labour, sorrow and ends in vanity. We do not know what the future holds, only God knows. We need the true God for our own salvation. No one could help us in terms of our salvation except ourselves.  Amidst that time, I started to participate actively in any available church outings and activities.<p \/><\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_7w2o174 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Gradually, my attendance in church improved. Whilst I was still a sinner, God loved me and wanted me to repent and come to church. The church\u2019s atmosphere was warm, and the members were helpful. I felt comfortable studying the Bible, singing hymns and listening to sermons.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_tmtp141 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Another reason I was persuaded to return to church was my wife and children influence on me. I noticed that my children were well-mannered and disciplined compared to the other gentiles\u2019 children as they received Religious Education in their younger days. As parents we want and hope that our household will be saved.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_qjgn441 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>In Acts 16:31, it is written that \u201cBelieve in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved\u2014you and your household.\u201d<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_zmmz442 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>I contemplated upon reading this Bible verse as I wanted my whole family to be saved. I wanted to know more about this faith and the doctrines; therefore, my I attended church more regularly. The Lord Jesus has blessed my family to be a Christian family, to fear God and follow His commandments.<\/p>\n    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_l55y30 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Thank God, I accepted Christ and received water baptism in the year 2012. In 1943, services were held at Dns.\u00a0 Hsiah Chu Eng&#8217;s house. At that time, many believers were brought to church by the late Dns. Lee Sin Chin. Through the guidance of God and the help of Holy Spirit, the number of members grew gradually.\u00a0 The late Dn. Philip Loh and Dn. Ho Chong Seng often visited the members and held home services.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Due to the increase in membership, a decision was made by the church and Bro. Kong Ban Loong (now Dn. Caleb Kong) to rent a double-storey shophouse at Tunai Road. The upper floor was used as the church hall while Bro. Kong used the ground floor for his business. In 1975, the church decided to buy over and renovated the shophouse and air-conditioners were installed.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Eventually, the church was unable to hold various activities due to limited space and growth in membership.\u00a0 There was insufficient space in the church hall to accommodate the members.\u00a0 Therefore, there were plans to buy another piece of land to build a new church. During the Annual General meeting of 1989, the project to rebuild the church was passed and a committee for that purpose was set up. Members started to make pledges and offerings for the purchase of the land. The committee started to look for sites suitable for the new church. After a few months, they found a site and bought it at the price of RM 40,000 and began to plan the blueprint of the church as well as apply permit from the government.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since there was a need of construction cost, the members started the process of making pledges and offering yet again, and the General Assembly started sending letters to local churches seeking financial aid. Thank God, the fund had continued to flow in from all directions. However, after many years of waiting for the permit approval, the government had yet to approve the application. Therefore, in order not to delay the reconstruction process, three proposals were put forward at the 1999 Annual General Meeting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Renovate the old church\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Construct a new church on the land bought<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Purchase a new shophouse<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At that time, most believers were in favour of buying a new shophouse. In the year of 2000, two double-storey shophouses were purchased at the price of RM 260,000. Due to the lack of fund, the believers agreed to make pledges for the third time. The renovation process began in March of 2001, and the whole project took about a year. The interior of the church was completely furbished with facilities. On the 1<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">st<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of February 2001, the members started to move their services to the new chapel, and on the 7<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> of September that year, the Padang Serai church was dedicated to the Lord. The first worship service was held on 3<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">rd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> October 2000 at the rented premise which is the first and second floor of a shophouse in Bandar Sungai Long.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The purposes of establishing the Sungai Long Evangelical Centre were for evangelism and pastoring members residing in Bandar Sungai Long. The membership of the Evangelical Centre increased over the years. A two-storey shophouse was purchased in 2015 as members began moving into the neighbouring Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC). Since December 2015, worship services have been held at the new shophouse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><br \/><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2016, BMC church was included in the West Malaysia General Assembly of the True Jesus Church. The church was dedicated to the Lord on 6<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> August 2017. My name is Steven Chan, and I have been a member of Gombak Church for many years. I was baptized in 1947 when I was just three years old, and since then, I have held firmly to my faith. I have experienced countless moments of God\u2019s protection and guidance\u2014from my early years to my long career as a mining engineer, and even in recent times. Today, I would like to share some of these testimonies to glorify His name.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_mgym886 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>More than ten years ago, both my son and daughter were facing great difficulty in having children. They were married in 2004, but for over a decade, they remained childless. When I came to know about their struggles, I too began to pray earnestly. I asked God for the chance to become a grandfather. I prayed consistently and sincerely, believing that God could work miracles.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_1gcj787 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Just two to three months after I started praying, something miraculous happened. I received news that both my daughter and daughter-in-law were expecting! My daughter gave birth to a son in 2013, and my daughter-in-law gave birth to another son in 2016. Both had difficulties conceiving in the past, but through God\u2019s mercy, they were blessed with children. Today, my grandsons are 12 and 9 years old. I give all thanks and praise to our Lord Jesus for answering my prayers and blessing our family with the joy of children. Hallelujah!<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_l859594 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>In 2016, another remarkable event took place. Deacon Lucas had visited me one day, and not long after\u2014about 18 hours later\u2014at 5:30 a.m., there was a fire in my son\u2019s room. The air-conditioner had caught fire, and thick black smoke filled the room while the entire family was asleep. My grandson, who was only a few months old, suddenly woke up crying\u2014something that was not usual at that hour. His crying woke everyone up, and they discovered the fire in time to act. Although the fire brigade could not be reached, we managed to put out the fire ourselves. I truly believe it was the Lord Jesus who allowed my grandson to alert the family and prevented a tragedy. All glory to Him for His divine protection.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_fudn287 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Throughout my life, I have faced many dangers, especially during my 30 to 50 years overseeing mines as a mine manager and an engineer. I vividly recalled an incident where a high-voltage cable carrying thousands of volts snapped and fell\u2014just missing me by a short distance. If it had been nearer to me, I would not be here today. But God preserved me. He watched over me time and time again, whether in the mines or on the road.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_7w2o174 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Even in my later years, I\u2019ve encountered several near-miss accidents while driving. Once, a loose curtain distracted me while I was driving at high speed on the highway. I unknowingly drifted off course, but a honk from the car behind jolted me back to attention just in time to avoid a major crash. In other instances, I narrowly avoided collisions while overtaking. I know it was the Lord\u2019s hand that guided and protected me in those critical moments.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_tmtp141 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>My wife too experienced God\u2019s protection in a dramatic way. In 1998, she was driving alone from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore without informing me. Along the way, possibly due to fatigue, she veered off the road and crashed into a ravine near Pagoh\u2014about 134 kilometres from the start of the journey. She was driving my BMW, and the impact was so severe that both front wheels came off. A Mercedes following behind her also plunged into the ravine. The Mercedes driver emerged bleeding, but thankfully survived. My wife, to everyone&#8217;s amazement, suffered only a minor bruise near her eye.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_qjgn441 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>When the flatten car was towed back to the BMW service centre in Kuala Lumpur, the mechanic could not believe anyone had survived that crash. He initially thought I was the driver of the vehicle, but it was my wife\u2014by God\u2019s grace\u2014who had walked away almost unscathed. It was a miracle, and we give all glory to our Lord Jesus for sparing her life.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_zmmz442 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Though my wife does not spend as much time in church as others, she was baptized by our late Dn Thomas Chong. She continues to pray and seek God in her own way.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_l55y30 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>These were many experiences that reminded me of the grace and protection of God. I have gone through much in life, and through every trial, danger, and hardship, I knew it was the Lord who sustained me. I thank God for His mercy, protection, and blessings\u2014both seen and unseen.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_76xr854 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>There is another testimony that I would like to share with everyone.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_hzko679 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Toward the end of 2015, I was stricken with severe spine pain. I was seeking treatment\u00a0 at Gleneagles Orthopaedics Centre, but the pain only worsened over time. I was taking painkillers daily, but there was very little relief. I could hardly walk upright and constantly bent forward at a 45 to 50-degree angle, relying on a walking stick to move around.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_ae1r505 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Eventually, I was recommended to see a different spine specialist at University Hospital. An appointment was made in March 2016 to see a Chief of Spine Surgeon. After examination, he was optimistic that my condition was treatable. He recommended me to do daily stretching exercise by lying face down and lifting both legs upwards into a convex position.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_aggp76 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>I responded, \u201cI can not even lie down, how could I possibly raise both legs?\u201d\u00a0 Still, I tried. It was extremely painful and challenging.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_zyed568 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>The surgeon fixed me a date, 10th June 2016 for surgery\u2014in case my condition did not improve. I was instructed to call the operating theatre nurse two days before the scheduled date to confirm the procedure and they will made all arrangement.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_k258772 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>But deep inside my heart, I never wanted to undergo this surgery. Back in year 2002, I had underwent a spinal surgery, and hence I was very reluctant to go through it again. I turned to God to ask Him to heal me. I pleaded with God for His mercy and healing power.<\/p>\n<p>As the date of surgery drew closer, I began to question myself\u2014should I call the nurse? Though my faith wavered at times, I continued to pray, asking God to strengthen me and to heal me completely. <\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_k8h7625 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>Hallelujah! Praise the Lord Jesus! Just two days before the scheduled operation, my spine pain completely disappeared. I was healed. I no longer needed to undergo the surgery. This was a miracle.<\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_ek74458 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p>All glory and thanks be to our Lord Jesus Christ for His divine healing and mercy! In the name of Jesus, I bare testimony. I am Sis. Tara Surin Thongcharen from Skudai Church. My testimony is about how God showed His mercy and grace to me and my family in a very unexpected and amazing way.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_mgym886 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 2011, I was still working in Singapore and also pregnant with my first child. Around early August 2011, my company announced that the factory would be shut down by the end of December 2011 and it would be relocated to Rawang, Selangor. At that point of time, I was about 5.5 months pregnant, and my estimate due date (EDD) was on the 21<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">st<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> December. The company gave the employees a choice to leave without any compensation or to stay and work until year end with 2 months bonus compensation. I chose to stay and work for the company with the intention to fly back to Ipoh around early December, which was 2 weeks before my EDD. Later, after the announcement, around early September, my HR informed me that my manager had requested that I was granted with 8 weeks of paid maternity leave, which was not compulsory for the company to adhere because I was only holding a working permit. So, it was actually good news for me because it means that I could make plans to fly back to Ipoh in October instead of December. I would have ample time to prepare for all the necessities before the birth of my baby.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_1gcj787 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">So, my husband and I booked the air tickets to fly home on the 14<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">th<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> October.\u00a0 On that day itself, I was actually experiencing pain on and off but I did not know that it was birth contraction pain. I thought that the pain was probably due to stress or exhaustion because I had been working in a 12-hour rotating shift environment. I ignored the pain. We reached Ipoh in the evening, safe and sound. On the following day, I had made a prior arrangement for an appointment with the gynecologist early in the morning. It was about 8 am when we drove from home for the appointment, and I was in pain. I felt like I needed to use the toilet, so as soon as we reached the hospital, I immediately went to the restroom. As soon as I removed my underwear, I saw blood. I was shocked and immediately got out and rushed to the nurse who was at the registration desk. She called the doctor who immediately attended to me. When he was examining me, he told me that I was actually experiencing labor contraction and that I was already 1 cm dilated. But I told the doctor that I was only 30 weeks pregnant. He looked surprise and immediately suggested that I should be admitted to the hospital.\u00a0 He explained to me the situation that I was in and what to expect if my baby was prematurely delivered.\u00a0 At that point of time, I was feeling lost and confused.\u00a0 When the doctor explained to me that premature babies are at a higher risk of chronic health issues due to their underdeveloped lungs and there are cases where premature babies die due to infection, I was lost for words and my mind was flooded with uncertainties.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_l859594 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I was then warded to a private hospital in Ipoh. The doctor tried to stop the bleeding through medications but I continued to bleed and the contraction became even more intense. That evening, the doctor tried giving me more medication to reduce the contraction but I vomited and the pain only increased. So, I asked the doctor to remove the medication that was inserted through the intravenous tube. Throughout the whole time, I prayed and asked God to help me keep my baby safe in my womb. I asked God to prevent me from having an early labor. My parents came to comfort and prayed for me. At that time, my husband was still a non-believer and he was also feeling very worried and sad. That night while I was struggling with the continual contraction pain, I prayed and asked God to help me and amazingly, through God\u2019s grace, I actually managed to fall asleep throughout the night, peacefully without any pain.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_fudn287 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As soon as I woke up the next morning, the contraction pain started again. The doctor came and examined me. I was still bleeding, so the doctor advised me to be transferred to Ipoh General Hospital because private hospitals are not allowed to deliver babies who are less than 35 weeks. So, I had no choice but to be transferred. I remembered the pain was excruciating because the intervals of contraction were like every 5 minutes. It was so painful to the extent that I felt breathless. I could only continue to pray in my heart. I waited and when I could finally be transferred, it was already in the evening. The doctors in the Ipoh General Hospital (GH) attended to me and after a couple of hours waiting, the doctor came and told me that they had to transfer me to either Penang GH or Teluk Intan GH because their ventilators were fully occupied. My heart sunk because I felt helpless. I was feeling so lost and it was as if God did not hear my prayers. Throughout the waiting time for another ambulance to transfer me, I continued to pray and I asked God to help me because I really did not want to give birth prematurely. I was afraid that my baby might have health issues or even not survive! I was not prepared for the worst. I prayed and asked God to just help me to tolerate the pain. I was willing to be in pain as long as He keeps my baby safe inside me.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_7w2o174 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At about 7 pm, I was transferred in an ambulance to the Teluk Intan GH and my husband accompanied me.\u00a0 Deep in my heart, I knew and I could feel that my baby would definitely come out anytime soon because the contraction pain was already at its peak. So, this time when I prayed to God, I asked God to save him. I asked God to just save him, only him and that is all I was asking for. I did not want to ask for anything else.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_tmtp141 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We reached the Teluk Intan GH at about 8 pm. My husband was not allowed to enter the labor ward, so I was alone. The nurses just left me on a bed at one corner. A doctor came in and checked, and I was only 3 cm dilated. She just left without saying much. I looked around and there were so many other mothers who were waiting in labor. I heard screams and cries from all corners of the ward. It was terrifying. My contraction pain had lasted for almost 48 hours, the bleeding was persistent and I felt that probably, I might die that night. I looked at the wall clock which showed 8:45 pm. I closed my eyes and prayed one more time. This time, in this prayer I only asked God to forgive me for all of my sins. As I was praying, I came to a realization that God is God. He is an Almighty God. He can raise the dead and make the impossible, possible. So why did I ask God to save only my child and not me? Suddenly, I heard a voice. A very gentle voice saying, \u201cGod has His will and whatever that happens, is His will.\u201d Instantly, my heart was delighted and peaceful. I responded to the voice, and say, \u201cthen may Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, for Your will shall also be my will\u201d. A sudden warmth flowed down from my head and there was an urge for me to get up. I opened my eyes and saw the clock &#8211; it was already past midnight. I did not even realize that time had passed and I was not even in any pain. As I lifted up my back from the bed, I felt that something was not right. I called the nurse and told her that I needed to pass motion. She flipped up my blanket and saw a pool of blood. She shouted, \u201cdah nak keluar!\u201d It means, \u201cit\u2019s coming out!\u201d. The nurses rushed and immediately pushed my bed into the labor room. They called for the doctor, but the doctor in- charge was not in the ward. There were only trainee doctors. The head nurse immediately took charge. She told me to give a good push and with just one push, my baby boy was born. I cried with relief as soon as I heard a small cry from behind the curtain. My baby was immediately sent to the NICU and I thanked God for His deliverance. I also made a promise to testify His grace. That night, I slept peacefully.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_qjgn441 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The next morning, my husband accompanied me to the NICU. When I was in the NICU, the doctor led me to a room where they had placed my baby. As soon as I saw him, I could not hold my tears. There were wires and tubes placed all over him. He was so tiny and there were no fats on his skin. I could literally see the veins and blood vessels right through his skin. I immediately went out from that room and cried. Then the doctor came and comforted me. He explained to me that my baby was very strong. He was placed in a ventilator for monitoring purpose and to supply him with oxygen if needed. But surprisingly, he did not require any assistance for oxygen supply and his lungs and heartbeat was very good. He was breathing very well and was very stable. I really thanked God for the reassurance. He was 1.89 kg upon birth and that was actually a healthy weight for a 30 weeks preemie (premature baby). His weight then decreased to 1.67 kg due to fluid lost. Soon after that, he was transferred to an incubator and then to the woman\u2019s ward to be by my side. <\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_zmmz442 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There were many other challenges that I had to go through throughout the stay in the hospital but God continued to reassure me over and over again that I was not alone and that God is in control. We were allowed to be discharged after 10 days even though his weight did not reach the minimum limit, which was 1.8 kg. My baby did not have any birth defects at all and there were no complications throughout his growth.\u00a0 While I was still staying in the ward, I actually witnessed other premature babies turning blue, some with lung infections and even complications. There were also some mothers who had to stay in the hospital for more than 45 days because their baby\u2019s condition was unstable. Being able to go home after 10 days was indeed an amazing grace by God.<\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_d7ki419 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Through this experience, I have learned numerous teachings. One of the most important lessons is to first seek for forgiveness and then submit completely to God. It is only through submission that I was able to see His wonders and miracles. God showed me His love even when I am unworthy. God\u2019s plan is unpredictable. If my company was not relocated and I was not granted 8 weeks of paid leave, I would not have flown back earlier and in that case, I might have to give birth in Singapore which would have cost a fortune since I am a foreigner there. Secondly, I also understood that God\u2019s love and power is beyond measure. It was only through His voice that I finally understood that all I had to do was to submit to Him with a complete faith because He knows exactly what is best for me. Our lives are in His hands. I am unworthy and yet He chose to save us. He is indeed a merciful and lovingkindness God, the only one True God. All the burdens that I had in my heart were lifted up and I know that, with God, all things are made possible. <\/span><\/p>    <\/div>\n<\/div>\n<!-- \/module text --><!-- module text -->\n<div  class=\"module module-text tb_9z1v661 text-justify text-18  \" data-lazy=\"1\">\n        <div  class=\"tb_text_wrap\">\n        <p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">I would like to share a bible verse for mutual exhortation. Psalms 46:10a: \u201cBe still, and know that I am God\u201d. This bible verse may seem very simple and short but often times we forget that God is an Almighty God. In 1963, Bro. Chin Hua Lin, late Bro. Lai Hun Wah, and late Bro. Ho Pen Kuan moved from Kulim, Kedah, Northern State of Malaysia to this town to make a living. After settling down, they were determined to preserve their faith. Every Sabbath Day, they would gather and take the bus to Ipoh church to observe this holy day. This group of believers who loved the Lord were the first seeds of today\u2019s Sungai Siput True Jesus Church.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Pr. Chin Ann Quek, an early worker in Malaysia and Singapore passed through this town. He came to understand the believers\u2019 faith and given the circumstances they were in at that time; he strongly encouraged them to establish a family prayer house in Sungai Siput to preserve their faith. The believers had agreed with one another that whoever first bought a house would hold the home service. In 1968, this agreement was fulfilled and late Bro. Ho Pen Kuan\u2019s house became the first to establish home service. Subsequently, with the unconditional love and support of the pastoral care from late Dn. John Voon, late Dn. Zacchaeus Wong and late Dn. Paul Wong from the Ipoh church, the foundation of the believers&#8217; faith grew stronger day by day. Most of the believers at that time sold cold drinks as a main source of living. They were filled with the grace of the Lord as each day went by, even though the days were full of toils.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the 30th of January 1973, the Sungai Siput Prayer House was officially established at the house of Bro. Chin Hua Lin, about five years after the home service was established.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the late 1970s, late Pr. Simon Chin, Pr. Andrew Loh, and late Pr. Ho Nyuk Lin, along with late \u00a0 Dn. Ho Chung Seng, late Dn. Chan Chen Poh, and late Dn. Thomas Choong who served in the churches of Malaysia and Singapore would go to the Prayer House from time to time to assist in the divine work, training new workers, and leading the sheep to the right path of their journey of faith.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In 1981, late Dn. Peter Ho, Bro. Chin Hua Lin, late Bro. Ho Pen Kuan, Bro. Lap Ah Toh, and Sis. Choo Jun Chow (the board members of Sungai Siput Church) were greatly moved by the love of the Lord and wanted to build a church for God. Therefore, they became fervent and worked together in planning the development of the church. The love of the Lord had stirred the believers\u2019 hearts, and they made offerings with faith, although they were not rich. Everyone worked together in unity and employed different ways to raise funds for the house of God \u2014 some believers sold their inheritance, and some sisters even sold their golden jewellery. Subsequently, with the guidance and blessing from God, along with the help of many churches, a terrace house was finally purchased as the chapel in 1981, thus establishing the Sungai Siput Church.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since the dedication on the 5th of April 1986, the Lord has continued to shower abundant grace on Sungai Siput Church. In 1993, they finally bought the first church van. Towards the end of 1994, the Holy Spirit moved the believers to expand the chapel to provide a larger space and comfortable environment to accommodate more believers.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">With the love for God and the moving of the Holy Spirit, the believers of Sungai Siput Church bought a large new church van in March 1996. The love of the Lord once again touched the brothers and sisters of Sungai Siput Church as they began to pray earnestly for the development of a new chapel. In November of the same year, a brother from the Central Region church was moved by the Holy Spirit and offered RM 20,000.00 to Sungai Siput Church for the purchase of a piece of land. Offerings from fellow brethren, loans from the Perak region, and support from Pr. Daniel Chin enabled a successful purchase of the land worth RM 54,000.00 for future church development.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thank God, the Lord will provide! The prayers from all the believers have moved the hand of the Lord.\u00a0 It turns out that God has prepared and opened the way ahead for us.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On the 24th of July 1998, everyone agreed to develop a new chapel during the EGM and the believers of Sungai Siput Church had made offerings actively to raise funds. As we are one family in Christ, many other churches also made the offerings out of love, especially the brothers and sisters of Bercham Church gave a lot of support and help in terms of manpower, financial resources, and prayers. Hence, Sungai Siput Church was able to start the construction with RM 43,451.00.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On 30th July of the same year, Pr. Daniel Chin led the believers to gather at the new chapel and pray together, asking for the guidance of the Holy Spirit for the smooth construction process of the new chapel. Miraculously, the whole construction work from planning, drawing, and building was assisted by the believers of Sungai Siput Church, including Bro. Chang Kuan Yang, Bro. Ho Kooi Chung, and Sis. Ho Lai Pheng, who saved up a huge amount of money for the church. Besides, these brothers and sisters who love the Lord, often worked overtime and checked on the construction site even if it was in the late evening.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The pile foundation construction for the new chapel began in August 1998, and the whole construction of the chapel was completed on the 24th of July 2000.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On 4th August 2000, the new chapel was officially opened and started with the first Friday night service. On 5th August, the first Sabbath was observed and Holy Communion was held in the new chapel. Late Eld. John Liew from Sungai Petani shared a sermon \u2014 \u201cI will only give you all I have\u201d, to encourage the believers. The entire congregation was filled with the heart of thanksgiving to remember the death of the Lord. The new chapel was then dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ on 13th May 2001.<\/span><br \/>\n<br><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">We pray that God will continue to guide Sungai Siput Church. Let the name of God be known all over this small town so that everyone will come to know about salvation gospel.
