History of Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC) Church | Audio
In 2000, the members of Cheras church residing in Bandar Sungai Long established the Sungai Long Evangelical Centre. The first worship service was held on 3rd October 2000 at the rented premise which is the first and second floor of a shophouse in Bandar Sungai Long.
The purposes of establishing the Sungai Long Evangelical Centre were for evangelism and pastoring members residing in Bandar Sungai Long. The membership of the Evangelical Centre increased over the years. A two-storey shophouse was purchased in 2015 as members began moving into the neighbouring Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC). Since December 2015, worship services have been held at the new shophouse.
In 2016, BMC church was included in the West Malaysia General Assembly of the True Jesus Church. The church was dedicated to the Lord on 6th August 2017. BMC church has 70 members comprising of Malaysian Chinese, Malaysian Indian and Myanmar believers.
