History of the True Jesus Church at Cheras, Kuala Lumpur | Audio

With the guidance of the Lord Jesus Christ, the True Jesus Church Cheras was established in 1995. Before the establishment of the church, the work of evangelism in Kuala Lumpur, the capital city of Malaysia was carried out by True Jesus Church Gombak, which is located close to the city centre. To bring the true gospel to a larger section of the city, the church branched out to Cheras, a region of an estimated population of 250,000. A double storey shop lot at Taman Midah, Cheras was purchased for RM350,000 in 1994. The church building was dedicated to the Lord on 31 August 1995. In that year, the church in Cheras became a member of the General Assembly of True Jesus Church, Malaysia with a membership of 102.

With the expansion of membership, a shop lot next to the existing church building in Taman Midah, Cheras was purchased at a cost of RM420,000 in 2000. The new church building was then dedicated to the Lord on 25th November 2001.

The Cheras Church continued the work of preaching the true gospel to other locations in Cheras. The church has also set up an Evangelical Centre in Sungai Long in 2000. In 2015, the Cheras Church has branched out to Bandar Mahkota Cheras with the establishment of the Bandar Mahkota Church, Cheras.
